Digging Deeper to Reach Your goals

Have you ever felt like giving up during a workout… like you just dont feel like pushing yourself, doing more, going that extra mile. I had one of those types of workouts tonight… But, I switched into my crazy mode and pushed passed my laziness, lifted more weights than I thought I could and finished my workout (P90X shoulders, arms and ab ripper x) with gusto.

As with all fitness workouts we all come to a point where we are tired, frustrated with results, or have possibly lost motivation. It is within these times that we really have to dig deep, pull from everything we have down inside us, and overcome what our minds and our bodies are telling us. Just remember why you are working out, why you want better health, more energy, a better life. No one gets amazing results by giving up or doing a workout halfway.

And while we are on the subject… the same goes for your nutrition plan. We’ve gone over this before…. the food you put into your body is the fuel that will help you to reach your goals. It is at least 80% of the formula that you need to get the results that you want.

So the point of this very short article, is to stop listening to that little voice inside your head that tells you that you are tired, that you just don’t feel like working out. Just DO IT! Listen to the other voice, the quiet one, that is telling you to stop being lazy, the one that says you CAN do this… you CAN lift more weights, you CAN jump higher, punch harder, sweat more. You will feel so amazing afterwards!

Find yourself a partner or a group of people that will help to motivate you. I have an amazing group of people that I communicate with on a regular basis that keep me grounded in my goals, and accountable in my workouts and nutrition plan. These folks include fellow coaches on my team, my clients, and my success partner… and of course my awesome husband!

    That’s strikes home for so many of us. Pushing through is one of the hardest things.
