Follow Me on My P90X2 Journey

Follow me on my P90X2 journey
I am so excited! My much anticipated P90X2 arrived yesterday!!! I felt like a little kids on my birthday or on Christmas morning. I opened the box and looked through the books, watched the intro DVD and planned for my first day.
I must say that I’m a little intimidated… but I’ve always had a “can do” attitude and I know that I can do this. I remember when I started P90X… it was very difficult for me, but I kept pushing play every day, and …

Five Generations of Hands

This was sent to me via email and it truly did touch me. I am blessed to still have my grandmother alive at the young age of 97. I always remember her telling us that we need to eat right, exercise and limit alcohol use. You can’t get any better proof than a woman that has lived to be 97! The rest of the story below makes you appreciate what you have… Enjoy!
HERE’S A GOOD WAY TO LOOK AT YOUR HANDS.   (MALE OR FEMALE)   NEVER QUITE THOUGHT OF IT THIS …

Hi there!
Taking some time off to spend some quality time with my daughter before she heads off to her last year of college. She wants to be a Physician Assistant like her Mom, so I’m showing here around my old PA school before she heads back in less than a week. Amazing how fast they all grow up. Seems like just yesterday that she was learning to walk and talk!
We did a Turbo Fire workout in our hotel room today! So fun to workout with her, she also has amazing …

Thought I would take a moment to tell you about my workout today! First I will start off by telling you that I’m working night shifts this week and have a difficult time taking naps during the day. So by the time I got home today I had been up for 24 hours straight. I caught up on some things around the house, answered emails and got dressed to work out. The little voice in my head kept saying… “ohhh, you don’t have to workout today… you’re sooo tired!
Fortunately I …

I recently had the challenge of being confronted with a family crises that pushed me to the very limits of my being. It left me emotionally drained and I felt a heaviness in my heart that I have not felt in a very long time. Even now, the thought of this “road block” brings tears to my eyes, and pain in my chest. I am writing about this to share what I have learned, not to dwell on what brought me here. Suffice it to say… so far the crises …

Digging Deeper to Reach Your goals

Have you ever felt like giving up during a workout… like you just dont feel like pushing yourself, doing more, going that extra mile. I had one of those types of workouts tonight… But, I switched into my crazy mode and pushed passed my laziness, lifted more weights than I thought I could and finished my workout (P90X shoulders, arms and ab ripper x) with gusto.
As with all fitness workouts we all come to a point where we are tired, frustrated with results, or have possibly lost motivation. It is within …

Improving your results from your workout program

Many of the questions that I get from customers and friends is about their concern about the results that they may or may not be achieving with their current workout program. Once I take a look at what they are actually doing, it usually boils down to  tweaking their diet (a BIG part of any program)… but I also ask if they are truly giving 110% in their workout. We all need to push past our comfort zone and get used to sweating, feeling the burn and being sore.
I have …
